All Sooz Jewels jewellery will arrive well packaged in a free gift box and wadding for protection

Every item is designed and hand made by myself in my studio room.

For my silver designs, I only use 925 sterling silver, no items are silver plated. Even the wire holding beads, crystals and gemstones in place is sterling silver. Other items incorporate copper but these are plainly described as such in the item descriptions.

I am very keen to source items only from ethical sources at all times. For example, jade on this website is acquired from the famous British Columbia deposits in Canada and not from Burma.

I do not use freshwater pearls in my Sooz Jewels designs as a personal preference, I use swarovski pearls (also called faux pearls) instead. I have concerns that the molluscs in freshwater pearl farms may suffer and therefore have made the conscious decision to omit them from my designs. I also prefer the uniformity of colour, size and shape of faux pearls; some freshwater pearls are very poor quality having ridges and a poor lustre.

The turquoise that I use has been stabilised for hardness, colour and resistance to chemicals. Before turquoise is stabilised it is called "chalk" (you can actually write on blackboards with it!) The stabilisation ensures your earrings will be durable enabling you to enjoy them for many years to come.
