Cava Freizenet Cordon Negro bottle for recycling into glass lampwork beads

All the glass lampwork beads on this page are made from recycled Cava bottles, Freixenet Cordon Negro to be precise. The glass, when melted, is in fact a very dark greenish/brown colour but when the beads are etched using an acid solution, they turn this lovely velvety black colour. Occasionally with very strong backlight on a small bead, you may notice that they are not altogether black but in most lighting conditions, the jewellery looks black.
